Community Guidelines

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Edoml. They apply to every member and every piece of content posted on the platform. By using Edoml, you agree to follow these guidelines. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to keep the community safe, respectful, and useful for everyone.

1. Be Respectful

Edoml is a community built on trust and respect. Treat every member with dignity, regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity. The following are not allowed:

  • Harassment, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Hate speech, including slurs or dehumanising language directed at any group.
  • Threats of violence or harm toward any person.
  • Stalking or persistent surveillance of another member.
  • Impersonation of another person or creation of fake accounts.

2. Prohibited Content

You must not post, share, or promote any of the following:

  • Nudity, sexually explicit content, or sexual exploitation.
  • Graphic violence, including real-world violence and gore.
  • Content that sexualises minors or exploits children in any way.
  • Illegal activities, including the sale or promotion of illegal goods and services.
  • Content that promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide.
  • Harmful misinformation that could cause real-world harm.
  • Copyright-infringing material or content you do not have the right to share.
  • Spam, repetitive posting, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.

3. Reporting and Blocking

Every member can help keep the community safe. Edoml provides the following tools:

  • Report: flag any post, comment, or member that violates these guidelines using the in-app report tool.
  • Block: prevent another member from contacting you or viewing your content.
  • Privacy controls: restrict who can see your profile, send you requests, and post on your timeline.

Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Where possible, the identity of the person reporting is kept confidential from the reported member.

4. Moderation Actions

When a member violates these guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Remove the violating content.
  • Issue a warning to the member.
  • Restrict certain features, such as posting or messaging.
  • Temporarily suspend the account.
  • Permanently disable the account for severe or repeated violations.

We keep safety records as needed for abuse prevention, appeals, and legal compliance. If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, you can appeal by contacting support@mercuryplatformlimited.com.

5. Privacy and Consent

Respect the privacy and consent of others:

  • Do not share another person's private information without their consent, including phone numbers, addresses, or private messages.
  • Do not post photos or videos of people who have not agreed to be shared, especially in private settings.
  • Do not record or share private conversations without the consent of all participants.
  • Use privacy settings to control your own information, and respect the privacy settings of others.

6. Groups and Communities

Group admins are responsible for the content and behaviour in their groups. Admins should:

  • Set clear rules for the group and enforce them fairly.
  • Approve posts before they appear when post approval is enabled.
  • Remove members who violate the group rules or these Community Guidelines.
  • Report serious violations to Edoml moderation so platform-wide action can be taken.

7. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Only post content that you own or have permission to share. If you believe your copyright has been infringed on Edoml, please contact us at support@mercuryplatformlimited.com with details of the infringing content and proof of ownership. We will review and remove infringing material in accordance with applicable law.

8. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or community needs. We will post the updated guidelines on this page and revise the "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
